Kids Classroom Valentines

Sharing a couple of the kids valentines cards we made today. The cuts were found in the Cricut Design space with some alternations to allow for write and cut. They came out super cute!

This project was inspired by a Facebook post regarding the saga of the lost laundry sock.

I started with a DIY board I found at Hobby Lobby using their 40% off coupon. I used baby wipe and Craft Smart white acrylic paint and did a light white wash staining to the wood.

Allowed the board to dry for about 30 minutes since the white wash is very light and enough to blend the white into the wood to give it a whitewashed finish.

Using the Cricut Maker, the Cricut Design Studio and the Cricut Access Membership to develop the design and cut using Cricut permanent vinyl. One reason why I enjoy having Cricut Access.

Completed vinyl cut

After using Cricut transfer tape and placing the vinyl design on the board, I sealed the board lightly with Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating. I applied about 3 coats. Using E6000, I glued the white craft clothespin about 3 inches apart.

Voilà!!!
